Yelapa has long been a fishing village and our local knowledge of fishing is renowned! We offers to share that knowledge with you. Beginners to Pros. All equipment is provided.

Yelapa's Top Day Trip... The Tres Mariettas Islands, located at the northwest entrance of the 15 mile by 15 mile, Banderas Bay. This 5-mile long group of three small islands and reefs is a wildlife preserve and seabird nesting site, offering the top water clarity in the Bay. It is very common to find whales (Dec.15th - Mar.31st) , dolphins, giant manta rays, turtles and many other varieties of sea life. It's a truly amazing adventure!

Snorkeling in the Banderas Bay is spectacular! Fifteen minutes East of Yelapa is Los Arcos, an underwater marine park that features fish in every color and shape imaginable. We also offer to show you some our favorite local spots.

Pizota, located 10 minutes down the coast is a land out of time. With 100 residents, currently ..no power, no telephone, no cars or motos, a visit offers a chance to imagine the life here in México pre-tourism. White sand, deserted beaches with clean, clear, warm water. Primitivo's restaurant cooks up a fresh fish, Fidencio or Mateo open coconuts to eat and drink. What more do you need? For the adventurous, the waterfall at nearby Tecomate, population 2, is a rare site to see.

Luis Garcia Martinez, Master Boatman/Guide is kind, speaks English, honors safety, and most importantly is fully licensed for aquatic tourism and is one of the few that have special permissions access for the Tres Marietta Islands.
