My father in Law and his Brothers have a ranch located high above Pizota called “Las Cañas”. Last year, they put a road in where an old horse trail used to be and therefore opened 4 wheel drive access to a spot where very few have seen. It is one of the many stops on my Cultural Tours. The season is practically over and road access has a few months before the rains will shut things down. Next year make sure to come and visit it with me. It is one of the most amazing bird watching areas in this part of México.

Months ago, a new reality based TV series came to visit and shoot in Yelapa. The high def edition of “Pressure Cook” has aired and I recently got a chance to see the footage. I am most certainly now, the super spokesman for Yelapa Pies. This week while on the trail instead of …”are you the internet guy?’ came ‘Your the guy from the tv show!’ I asked if he recognized my face or my belly? anyways… this week at Casa Iguana when we need a laugh and we re-watch the footage… and by the way, on my spot, they used my first and last name with the title “local expatriate”… Is that what I am?
