Well… a high tention power line and or damage to a tower in a nearby community has taken out the power in Yelapa and possibly for a few days. As an extra added bonus throw in a passing hurricane or two. All will be ok but expect wind and rain and very little communication from […]
When your local news shows the pummeling of Mexico… note that Cancun is a long way away from Yelapa and we are not at all in the path of this Hurricane. The effect on us will be a raise in tourism in Vallarta and a extra handful of new visitors to Yelapa. Living in a […]
Anyone that saw the reports of the recent Tropical Storm Sergio, know that it has turned farther out to sea and will have very little effect on Yelapa. We might get a tich of rain, but thats all. As a precaution, you might want to line your bags with plastic before you pack.

and it’s a good thing… Hurricane John completely passed us by. No rain, no wind. All in all, it was a fun day sort of juiced with adventure. The kids got the day off school and I was home all day, rare for us all. Tomorrow, top priority is to reassemble the office .
Another hurricane, Kristy showed up and will help push Hurricane John close to the coast. John’s a big boy now and has been named a class four hurricane. It’s hard to believe they are coming as it is sunny and nice right now. Lets see what happens.
It looks as a storm is heading our direction, well at least close enough for us to be named in a advisory. Check out Cheryl’s Yelapa Weather Watch for up to date information. Hurricane John should blow by us Thursday, late afternoon. If your planning to visit this week, worry not… water taxis run, rain or […]
oh yeah… the other reference to biblical is with storms. We are getting slammed right now! Wind, Rain and Thunder and Lightning!
