One of our favorite towns to visit and relax is Tuito. I see it as an old world city that is simple and clean. Lots of good fresh food, a nature’s playground filled with kind people. A few years ago, I brought Greg and Joni who have “Casa Amarilla” in Yelapa for a Tuito visit. […]
Matt, born in Yelapa was raised here till his teens, returned this past few weeks as a sort of pilgrimage to revisit some of his past. It was quite an adventure for him and with great rewards. Jerry from Casa de los Arboles coincidentally found a huge box of old family photos. With a […]
Another image from our visit to San Sebastian.
Besides Jack’s new boat with backrests and a free beer.. the 5:30 pm departure from Los Muertos offers some fine sunset photos. Jack, often the underdog in the water taxi game is all about having roundtrip tickets to travel on his wild ride.
just as you arrive to Chacala you pass the rancho of Senor Guillermo Gordian. A lover of women, animals and nature. We stop and visit the ranch to see what fruits are in season. His Son Fidencio is our good friend in Pizota.
Can anyone tell me the name of this tree? It’s twenty feet tall and once a year blooms with the sweetest smells, one that covers an entire neighborhood. Some one help me with the name…
I met this pup in San Sebastian a month ago…he hangs off the center in town, when in town stop by and say hi….
Have you ever wondered how we get all our things to Yelapa? well… pictured here is one of the many furniture runs for the new Casa del los Sueños, a classic Yelapa property with seven private casas.
As of today, water taxi schedules change a bit… leaving Yelapa begins at 7:30 am, 8:30, 9:00, and 10:30… all ending in Vallarta. From Los Muertos.. 10:30am, 11am, 11:30, 12:30, 4pm , 4:30pm and 5:30pm. I suggest purchasing tickets from Sergio and Roger at the Lagunita Office, located on the left side, second business….On […]
It’s all in the flow of things and lately with the new location/office and the changing of pace in the season, We have been pretty much over the top. It’s hard for many to believe that in paradise you can do too much but I can attest its possible. Email and keeping up with it […]
Paco Ojeda, old school Podmaster and Editor of the fantastic “Vallarta Lifestyles” was in town for a visit and the makings of an upcoming article on Yelapa for the Feb. Issue. Recently the company went digital and now offer a variety of sound and tech formats to enjoy. For example, check out this […]
Meet Susan and Michael of the nursespanishmexico group that brings nurses and mental health workers to Yelapa each year to learn Spanish and earn education credits. This years group had a blast while learning a ton. The group are planning to fundraise for an EKG Machine for our local clinic. If you are interested in […]
Well… finally a story about scorpions that I can write about. British Scientists found a fossil of a 8 foot scorpion….390 million years old, more proof you have little to worry about here in Yelapa.. ours are only an inch or so long.
wow.. I mixed a family obligation and a bit of business together and survived a visit to the valley of stones…Guadalajara. The toll road was pretty straight forward and it took us about 5 hours from Vallarta. Upon arrival and attempting to find our relatives casa, we needed to pass directly through the center […]
