Well… finally a story about scorpions that I can write about. British Scientists found a fossil of a 8 foot scorpion….390 million years old, more proof you have little to worry about here in Yelapa.. ours are only an inch or so long.

Daily we watch these mantas play close to the shore. The treat is when they jump! No worries about a “Steve Irwin incident” leave them be and they will do the same. The small sand ray is the more common sting… to increase your odds, shuffle your feet as you enter the shore.
