Found at Anna’s store across from Mimi’s, in a jar on the counter are these delightful coconut based treats. Cocada’s are made with fresh coconut and my guess is that they contain evaporated milk and sugar. The actual ingredients are kept secret. Beatriz, wife of Julian makes these treats weekly. Some like them on the harder size and I like them medium, sort of like a macaroon. They are definitely on my list of Yelapa Treasures.

No wonder you wrote about these beauties in a long ago post! Puts a macroon to shame. Can’t wait to savor one when I arrive!
